GIPS College is thrilled to welcome the Class of 2024 to our vibrant academic community. Our First-Year Student Orientation is designed to provide new students with essential information, resources, and opportunities to connect with their peers, faculty, and staff. This event marks the beginning of an exciting academic journey, filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and personal development.

Event Schedule

09:00 AM – 09:30 AM: Registration and Welcome Reception

• Check-in and collection of orientation materials.
• Light refreshments and an opportunity to meet fellow students and staff.

09:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony

• Welcome Address by the College President.
• Introduction to GIPS College: History, mission, and values.

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Keynote Address

• "Navigating Your First Year: Tips for Success" by a distinguished guest speaker or academic leader.

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Campus Tour

• Guided tour of the campus, including academic buildings, student services, and recreational facilities.

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Academic Advising and Support Services

• Overview of academic advising services, library resources, and student support services.
• Introduction to the Learning Center, Counseling Services, and Career Development.

12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Lunch Break

• A casual lunch provided in the campus dining hall.
• Opportunity to mingle with faculty members and explore student organizations.

01:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Interactive Workshops

• Workshop 1: Time Management and Study Skills.
• Workshop 2: Building Connections: Networking and Social Integration.

02:00 PM – 02:45 PM: Student Life and Involvement

• Presentation on student clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities.
• Information on campus events, leadership opportunities, and community engagement.

02:45 PM – 03:30 PM: Panel Discussion

• "Student Perspectives: Thriving at GIPS College" featuring current students sharing their experiences and tips for success.

03:30 PM – 04:00 PM: Q&A Session and Closing Remarks

• Open forum for questions and answers with faculty and student leaders.
• Closing remarks and final thoughts by the Dean of Students.
